Frequently asked questions

Answers about Zoom sessions, booking, Stripe payments, rates, online DV classes, MRT and privacy.

Are all sessions online?
Yes. Every session, group and assessment is held live by secure Zoom video for clients located anywhere in Washington State. There are no in-person sessions.
How do Zoom therapy sessions work?
Before each session you receive a private Zoom link. Join from a quiet, private place using a phone, tablet or computer. If the connection drops, rejoin with the same link or we will call you.
How long is each session?
Individual sessions are 50 to 60 minutes. The free consultation is 15 minutes.
How do I book?
Use the booking calendar on the Contact page to request a day and time (Pacific Time). You get an automatic confirmation email right away and a reply from Teresa within 1–2 business days.
How do I pay?
Securely online by credit or debit card through Stripe. You receive a payment link with your confirmation and an emailed receipt after paying.
Do you accept health insurance?
The practice is private pay. Sliding-scale rates and package discounts of 15–20% are available, and you can ask for a receipt to submit to your insurer.
What approaches do you use?
Trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), mindfulness and body-based (somatic) skills, adapted to your goals.
Are your domestic violence classes online?
Yes. DVIT groups at Levels 1, 2 and 3 and DV assessments are held live on Zoom for participants anywhere in Washington.
Will my court or probation officer accept online classes?
Requirements differ by court, and some require in-person attendance. Before you enroll, ask your court, attorney or probation officer which programs they accept and whether online attendance is allowed. No legal outcome can be guaranteed.
How long are DV classes?
It depends on the level set by your assessment and on your court's requirements. You get a clear plan and schedule after your intake.
What is Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT)?
MRT is a structured cognitive behavioral program that helps people examine their beliefs and decisions and build more responsible patterns, using workbook steps completed in a group.
Can you help with substance use?
Sessions can address how substance use connects to stress and trauma. When specialized treatment is needed, Teresa will refer you to a certified substance use disorder professional.
Is what I share kept private?
Yes. Privacy is protected, and the legal limits of confidentiality are explained clearly at your first session. Please do not send health details through the website form or WhatsApp.
How quickly will I hear back?
Expect a reply within 1–2 business days. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911 if you are in danger.
